Spanning over 13.000 ha, Epacha Private Game Reserve is one of Namibia’s biggest private wildlife reserves. Guests can explore this magnificent expanse of terrain on a morning, afternoon or night drive. On these much-acclaimed adventures, guests can discover the various species on the reserve, including some rare species like the Black-faced Impala and Bat-eared fox.

During your game drive experience, you will be accompanied by our professional bush rangers, who will guide you to the best game-watching spots in the reserve. These include the middle of Epacha Private Game Reserve, where you can enjoy a stunning sunset.

Our night drive safaris are unique as they allow you to see animal species you would not see in the daytime. The bush rangers and a tracker work together to spot rare sights like the Bat-Eared Fox, Aardwolf, vultures, and Hyena for your game-watching pleasure.

This excursion departs from Epacha Game Lodge & Spa before sunrise, returning to the lodge after lunch, depending on the guests. It includes a packed breakfast as well as a light picnic lunch in the park.  Entrance fees into the National park are also included.

The spa at Epacha is fully equipped with a sauna, steam room and two treatment rooms. However, the most popular attraction at the Mystique Spa is the open-air duo-treatment room, where you can enjoy one of the many treatments with your partner.

Clay Pigeon Shooting is the art of shooting at unique flying targets (the clay pigeons) with a shotgun or firearm. During this experience, we transfer you by vehicle to the activity site, where we provide the clay pigeons and rifles. A guide will be present to show you how to load, aim and fire your rifle as you awaken your inner marksman.

Experience this cultural exchange, where visitors learn about the rich heritage of one of Namibia’s most distinctive nomadic tribes. The Himba continue to lead remarkably similar lives to their ancestors, forging an existence in the harsh environment of Kunene (formerly called Kaokoland).

On your visit, you will experience the men, women and children rubbing dark red paste called otjize (a mixture of cattle fat, ash and ochre) into their skin to protect them from the sun. The Himba wear clothes made from goat skin, and the women have long braided hair coated with otjize and jewellery made from iron, copper and shells. 

The visit to the local Himba Village is a must for anyone interested in culture.  A visit usually lasts a couple of hours and our guide will drive you to the village located on the farm Vierling in one of the game drive vehicles. At the village you will be led by a local guide that will explain to you their day-to-day lives, traditions, beliefs and customs.
